(Santa Ana) – Rancho Santiago Community College District has named Eric Harsen as manager of graphic communications. In this role, Harsen is responsible for managing and coordinating the preparation and production of all district graphic communications. He establishes a district-wide creative vision and directs its execution through graphic designers and desktop publishers.

Harsen has more than 15 years experience in graphic design. Since 2002, he has served as the graphic designer at Santiago Canyon College (SCC) and has been responsible for designing graphic materials for the college and the college district. His projects have included class schedule and catalog covers, brochures, posters, newsletters, postcards, event programs, print and online ads, college guides, logos and brand development. He has also served as art director for design projects and for photo shoots with professional photographers. Since 2008, he has also served as an adjunct instructor of graphic design at SCC.

Previously, he served as graphic designer/art coordinator for Zomba Recording Corporation in New York, NY. In that role, he designed CD, video and DVD packaging, print ads, posters, postcards, in-store signage, and point-of-purchase displays. He also photographed various musical artists for CD packaging and print ads.

Harsen earned an Associate of Arts degree in liberal arts from Mt. San Antonio College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in creative photography from California State University, Fullerton.
