Nominations Sought for 2017 Santa Ana College Alumni Hall of Fame

Deadline set for February 24

(Santa Ana, CA)—The Santa Ana College (SAC) Foundation is seeking nominations for its 2017 Hall of Fame Alumni Achievement Awards honoring outstanding alumni achievement. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 24 at 5:00 p.m.

SAC has honored outstanding alumni for over 60 years. The tradition began in 1955 when the first three honorees were named. Since then, more than 180 outstanding SAC alumni representing a range of professions and contributions to the community have received the Alumni Achievement Award. A formal Alumni Hall of Fame was developed in 1991 with a biennial ceremony to honor inductees.

The SAC Foundation welcomes nominations of any alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions and/or to the local or global community. Recipients will be honored at an induction ceremony on Thursday, June 8, 2017, and will also be recognized at the college’s spring commencement ceremony.

The selection criteria for this honor are:

    • Graduation from Santa Ana College or completion of a minimum of 30 units of coursework;
    • Documented distinction and achievement through professional and/or personal efforts since leaving Santa Ana College; and
    • Recipients must be available to attend the awards ceremony and commencement.
