McLoughlin was elected to the board in November 2008. As the newest Trustee he brings 30 years of Fortune 500 corporate experience and is presently with Resources Global Professionals.
Chairman of the SAUSD Citizens Bond Oversight Committee he is a strong advocate of fiscal prudence, taxpayer safeguards, and accountability in managing our important education funds.
Recently he served as Co-Chair of the successful Measure G campaign that successfully passed in June 2008. Measure G provides new and modernized classrooms to over 55,000 SAUSD students assuring them access to latest technology. He has also served on the annual SAUSD Budget Reduction Committee.
In addition to his service on the Board of Directors for the Greater Santa Ana Business Alliance, McLoughlin is the business champion for High School Inc. Manufacturing Academy. HS Inc. is the business-led institution formed as a partnership between the Alliance and the Santa Ana Unified School District.
McLoughlin is president of the Floral Park Neighborhood Association, chairman of FPNA Historic Designation Committee and a facilitator of the Santa Ana Community Neighborhood Leadership Training Program.
He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering and a Master Degrees in Operations Research and Business Management.
McLoughlin and his wife Janelle own a business in Orange and have been residents of the district for 17 years.
