Public AffairsCommunicating the Benefits of Community College Education The door to opportunity opens at community colleges. As one of the state’s largest higher education providers, the college district communicates the promise and advantages of a college education. The public affairs and governmental relations department has this responsibility for the college district and its colleges, building relationships with residents and organizations, potential students, public representatives, and the media among others. Graphic design, reprographics and printing services are also a component of its operations. Journalists will receive prompt responses when they contact the public affairs department staff.
