The IRS has released the 2013 standard mileage rate effective January 1, 2013. The standard mileage rate for the use of a car, van, pickup or panel trucks, will be
56.5 cents per mile for business miles driven, up a cent from the 2012 rate of 55.5 cents per mile.
RSCCD uses the standard mileage rate to pay or reimburse employees for auto expenses incurred for business purposes in accordance
to AR 4108.
The mileage rate applies to
the year in which the miles are driven and not the year in which the miles are reimbursed.
