(Santa Ana, CA)—Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) has announced Nancy Tanner as its new payroll manager. Tanner will be responsible for the leadership and administration of the district’s payroll department, including coordinating and directing district-wide payroll operations, assuring compliance with federal, state and county legal requirements and training, supervising and evaluating personnel. Additionally, Tanner will develop, implement, maintain and resolve procedural matters pertaining to accounting, budget, human resources and district departments, monitoring and coordinating workers’ compensation payments and training district management and new employees.
Tanner last served as the payroll supervisor for Huntington Beach Union High School District (HBUHSD). For the past 13 years, Tanner supervised the HBUHSD payroll department, audited employee vacation and sick leave, verified employment, conducted new hire orientations. Previously, Tanner was the payroll technician at Newport-Mesa Unified School District.
With a resume that includes building payroll systems for multi-state and international corporations, Tanner has worked for both public and private sector companies in a payroll capacity for more than 30 years. Skilled in ADP, Zurich and Ceridian systems, as well as MAS 90 and account reconciliations, Tanner is pleased to bring her decades of experience and ability to help RSCCD seamlessly adapt to changes in accounting, tax and retirement laws and regulations.
