SCC Foundation Hosts Fifth Annual Online Auction

11/1/2013
Page Content

(Orange)—The Santiago Canyon College Foundation (SCC Foundation) invites the community to participate in its fifth annual Online Auction to support student scholarships and college programs.

Online bidding for auction items will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, and close at midnight on Thursday, November 21. Items that will be bid on include a suite for an Anaheim Ducks game at the Honda Center, tickets to Cirque du Soleil, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Knott’s Berry Farm, Disney on Ice, and more. Once the auction has gone live, it may be accessed at www.sccollege.edu/auction.

In 2009, the college launched the online auction as a way of “going green.” The auctions have proven to be an innovative way to reach out to the community and support students through scholarships.

“We are grateful for community support that helps our students achieve their dreams,” said John Hernandez, the SCC Foundation director and vice president of student services. “Participating in the online auction helps support our students’ academic achievement.”

The Online Auction Committee is currently seeking auction items and sponsorship support. Support levels range from $750 to $2,500. If you would like to become an auction sponsor, donate an auction item, or make a financial donation, please contact Julie Restivo at (714) 628-4790 or at restivo_julie@sccollege.edu.  For more information, you may also contact Brenda Hohnstein at (714) 628-4963 or at hohnstein_brenda@sccollege.edu.
