A Celebration of Diversity in Music and Dance
(Orange, CA) - The Santiago Canyon College (SCC) Department of Performing Arts will present JOY on Saturday, November 10 at 7 p.m. College, high school, and community musicians and dancers will delight audiences in this holiday extravaganza.
With music by Giacomo Puccini, George Frideric Handel, Matt Riley, Leroy Anderson and Benny Anderson, SCC students, staff, faculty, and dancers will share the stage with the SCC Collegiate Choir and Community Chorale, Santa Ana High School Chamber Singers, Fairmont Children’s Choir, Villa Park High School Symphonic Ensemble, and Symphony Irvine to dazzle the audience.
The JOY Holiday Concert will also serve as a tribute to the armed forces and civil services. Veteran and active members of the United States armed forces or civil services will be recognized with the signing of each branch’s anthem.
The holiday celebration of diversity in music and dance will be held at the SCC Gymnasium, 8045 E. Chapman Ave. in Orange. Tickets are $20 general admission and $15 for students, staff, seniors and children under 12, and may be purchased through the SCC Bookstore and cashier’s office. A $3 discount will be granted for all tickets purchased prior to November 1.
