ACA Plan Information
Rancho Santiago Community College District offers either the Blue Cross HMO plan or the Kaiser HMO medical plan to eligible employees based on the Affordable Care Act's (ACA) regulations and guidelines.
Eligible employees are determined by tracking the employee's average period hours worked during a "prescribed measurement period". Once an employee is determined to be eligible for one of these plans, the identified employee may enroll into this plan for themselves and their dependent children. Please be advised that your spouse or domestic partner are not eligible for coverage through this plan.
How to Qualify|
A qualified employee is a non-benefited, part-time employee and must work a minimum of 130 hours a month for a consecutive 12-month period from January 1 to December 31of the following year ( for example: January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023).
The Benefits Office will send you a notice if you meet the requirements and qualify for this plan.
