SANTA ANA, Calif. — At its meeting on Tuesday, September 1, the Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) Board of Trustees placed Chancellor Marvin Martinez on paid administrative leave pending completion of an investigation.

Administrative leave is a standard, non-disciplinary measure and a routine process provided for under Board policy. It should not be interpreted as disciplinary action against Chancellor Martinez or as reflecting any adverse conclusion.

Pursuant to Board Policy 2432, in the absence of the Chancellor and when an acting Chancellor has not been named, administrative responsibility resides with the Vice Chancellor of Business Operations & Fiscal Services (Business Services). Accordingly, Vice Chancellor Iris Ingram will serve as Acting Chancellor during this period.

Because this is a confidential personnel matter, the District cannot comment further.
