New Speed Dial Button Provides One-Touch Access to District Safety
SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Rancho Santiago Community College District (RSCCD) has introduced a new District Safety speed dial button on desk phones across the district, providing employees with faster, one-touch access to the District Safety & Security Dispatch Center.
Installed on every district desk phone, including classroom phones, during the summer, the new feature eliminates the need to manually dial the district's safety extension (3-3-3). With a single button press, faculty and staff can quickly connect with District Safety when assistance is needed.
The enhancement is designed to streamline communications and improve response times by making it easier to contact District Safety from anywhere in the district.
"The goal is to make it as simple as possible for anyone using a district phone to reach us," said Lt. Francisco Prado of the District Safety & Security Department. "Whenever someone has a safety concern, they can simply press the button to reach a dispatcher."
District Safety reminds employees that the speed dial button is available on all district desk phones and should be used whenever District Safety assistance is needed during normal operations, between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. For life-threatening emergencies, users should continue to call 911.
