Nominations Sought for 2015 SAC Alumni Hall of Fame

(Santa Ana, CA)—The Santa Ana College (SAC) Foundation is seeking nominations for its 2015 Hall of Fame Alumni Achievement Awards honoring outstanding alumni achievement. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 27, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.

SAC has honored outstanding alumni for almost 60 years. The tradition began in 1955 when the first three honorees were named. Since then, over 180 outstanding SAC alumni representing a range of professions and contributions to the community have received the Alumni Achievement Award. A formal Hall of Fame was developed in 1991 with a biennial ceremony to honor inductees. This year’s recognition is especially important as it takes place during the college’s centennial year.

The SAC Foundation welcomes nominations of any alumni who have made significant contributions to their professions and/or to the local or global community. Recipients will be honored at an induction ceremony on Friday, June 5, 2015, and will also be recognized at the college’s spring commencement ceremony.

The selection criteria for this honor are:

    • Graduation from Santa Ana College or completion of a minimum of 30 units of
      coursework;
    • Documented distinction and achievement through professional and/or personal
      efforts since leaving Santa Ana College; and
    • Recipients must be available to attend the awards ceremony and commencement.

Nomination forms can be obtained by contacting the foundation office or by visiting
www.sac.edu/foundation. For more information, call (714) 564-6091. For details about SAC’s Centennial, please visit sac.edu/100.
