The event, open to both adults and children, will be held in parking lot 8 on Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome to attend this FREE event.

Family Fun Day is a community-wide celebration and resource fair that offers activities for all ages and will include live entertainment, dance, performances, prizes, and learning activities geared toward every age level. Parents will have access to a wealth of resources and information from more than 30 participating community agencies and businesses. Nena La Payasita and Tipitina the clown will be this year’s presenters.

The popular Children’s Corner will return featuring multiple age-appropriate activities geared toward infants, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary ages. Children can participate in a variety of fun activities including face painting and ‘make and take home’ activities such as homemade sun catchers and necklaces. Family Fun Day will also have sensory tables and magic craft noodles and numerous other games. Babies can enjoy the Infant Exploration Area. Adults can play Loteria, a Mexican bingo card game, for a chance to win prizes.

Keeping with the tradition it was founded upon, Family Fun Day, formerly the “Community Resources Fair,” will feature a wide range of valuable information and community resources beneficial for parents in the Santa Ana and Orange County area. Agencies will be on hand to provide guidance with educational development and healthcare, and children can even receive free dental screenings. Other helpful family resources will be available in such areas as financial, legal, children’s services, community services and many more.

Families will have the chance to win fabulous prizes during the Family Fun Day raffle just by picking up complimentary information from participating agencies. Prizes to be given away at this year’s raffle include two brand new tricycles, a skateboard, tickets to the Santa Ana Zoo, and gift baskets courtesy of Starbucks, as well as a chance to win tickets to popular attractions including Pretend City and the Aquarium of the Pacific.
