Rosio Becerra Named Associate Dean of Student Development at Santa Ana College

​(Santa Ana, CA)—Rancho Santiago Community College District has appointed Rosio Becerra as associate dean of student development at Santa Ana College. Becerra oversees staff that provides programs and services through student activities including the Associated Student Government and the Inter-Club Council, Summer Scholars Transfer Institute (STTI), Cross Cultural Center, and annual Commencement Ceremony. In addition, she is charged with administering the student conduct and commencement programs.

Becerra, a Santa Ana resident, brings a decade of experience in program management, development, and assessment of services that support student development and leadership. Most recently, she served as director of student discipline and student life at Long Beach City College. In that role, she administered the student conduct system, planned and directed the annual commencement ceremony, and coordinated and directed student life programs. Prior to that, she served as the student leadership advisor at Long Beach City College. In that role, she administered the leadership education and community service program for the college. Earlier, she had served as student services coordinator and student activities program specialist at Santa Ana College. She has also served as an adjunct faculty/counselor at Santa Ana College.

Becerra earned a B.A. in Public Relations from California State University (CSU), Dominguez Hills and an M.A. in Educational Counseling from CSU, Dominguez Hills. She holds a certificate of completion as a Title IX Coordinator/Investigator and a certificate in volunteer management and recruitment from the Long Beach Non-Profit Partnership Program.
