Shelly Randolph Named Internal Audit Manager at Rancho Santiago Community College District

​(Santa Ana, CA) - Rancho Santiago Community College District has named Shelly Randolph as internal audit manager. In this role, Randolph is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing complex operational, compliance, financial, and performance internal audits at locations throughout the district.

Shelly RandolphHer duties include establishing and maintaining an internal audit plan and related audit programs to evaluate district internal controls in areas including financial aid, categorical funding, foundations, and auxiliary operations. She also ensures that the financial activities of the district are in compliance with state and federal regulations, reviews audit findings, improves internal controls and adherence to proper measures, and prepares audit reports and recommendations when necessary.

With over 15 years of internal audit and examination experience and over 300 internal audits performed, Randolph brings a wide range of skills and achievements to her new role. Most recently, she served as a vice president/senior business control specialist for Bank of America. In that role, Randolph supported mortgage lines of business to facilitate the remediation of audit issues. Specifically, she served as a liaison to integrate the various lines of business, internal audit, compliance, and operational risk functions within the bank’s risk framework, as well as coordinated responses to audit requests.

Prior to that, Randolph worked as an independent consultant providing Sarbanes-Oxley and internal audit services for a range of companies including Union Bank, Pacific Life, and Mazda. Previously, she served as a supervising senior auditor for KPMG, Los Angeles, where she oversaw teams for internal audits focusing on the financial services industry.

Randolph earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Agricultural and Management Economics from the University of California, Davis, received career enhancement training from Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network, and has received multiple awards for her work at Bank of America, as well as Kaiser Permanente.
