Woolery was elected to the Board in 1996 and is currently serving her fourth term as an elected member representing Trustee Area 3. During her tenure, she has served as president of the Board and has chaired the Board's Policy, Facilities and Legislative Committees. Woolery has also served as the district's representative to the Orange County Legislative Task Force.
A former junior high school literature teacher, Woolery has worked in the field of communications for the last 15 years. She is currently employed with the City of Tustin as the communications manager. Woolery’s past positions have included community relations representative for former State Assembly Speaker Curt Pringle, account representatives for public relations firms, and as public information officer for a charter school management company.
Woolery, a resident of Orange, earned a bachelor's degree from Concordia University in Irvine, majoring in liberal arts and a master's degree in communications from California State University, Fullerton. She is only one of 1,400 professional public relations practitioners in America to have earned the APR (accredited public relations) certification from the Public Relations Society of America.
