Erickson and Martinez Headline Santiago Canyon College Art Gallery Alumni Show

“From SCC to CSU” runs from December 1 through February 23
at SCC Art Gallery

(Orange, CA) - Michelle Erickson and Maureen Martinez headline the Santiago Canyon College (SCC) Art Gallery Alumni Show that will debut on December 1 at 4 p.m. at the SCC Art Gallery.

“From SCC to CSU” will be on display Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. until February 23, 2017. The SCC Art Gallery is located on the east side of the D-Building, Santiago Canyon College, 8045 E. Chapman Ave., Orange, CA 92869.

“The SCC Art Department is very excited to invite back and showcase the artwork of two talented alumni who are continuing their art studies at local universities,” said SCC Art Department Chair Robbie Miller. “This is the second of our alumni shows and the third event in the inaugural year in our new gallery space.”

Erickson is enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at California State University, Long Beach and is pursuing a degree in studio art. She will have on display paintings that include portraits and abstract work. Additionally, she will have a collection of her drawings and prints that she has been working on over the past year.

Martinez is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Fine Arts program at California State University, Fullerton where she is majoring in illustration. She will have figurative paintings that include self-portraits and studio models on display in the gallery in addition to some of her illustration projects from her studies.
