Santiago Canyon College Awards over $100,000 in Scholarships

WHAT:

Santiago Canyon College (SCC) will host its 17th Annual Scholarship Ceremony. The ceremony honors the academic achievements of SCC students, both in its credit college programs and in its non-credit Continuing Education programs.

In total, 132 SCC students will be awarded 178 scholarships, totaling more than $99,000. These scholarships will assist students as they continue their education at SCC and as they transfer to baccalaureate-granting institutions. In addition, nine Continuing Education students enrolled in the college’s non-credit adult education program will receive scholarships totaling $3,200. These scholarships will help the Continuing Education students as they transition to credit-bearing college courses.

Over 140 students, their families, and the donors who support student success will be honored.

WHY:

As a result of generous contributions, the SCC Scholarship Program has more than doubled since its inception.
