Santiago Canyon College Foundation Names Mark Schmidt to Board of Directors

​(Orange, CA) – The Santiago Canyon College Foundation (SCCF) has announced the addition of longtime Orange resident Mark Schmidt to its Board of Directors.

Mark SchmidtAs the non-profit support organization for Santiago Canyon College, SCCF is exclusively dedicated to supporting the college through the fundraising and outreach efforts of its volunteer board.

“As President of the SCC Foundation Board of Directors, I am very pleased that Mark has joined the Board as a new director,” said SCCF President Larry Cohn. “We look forward to him sharing his ideas and outreach as a successful business owner in our community.”

Schmidt attended Santiago Canyon College (SCC) before graduating from the University of Southern California with a bachelor of science in business and the University of California, Irvine with an MBA. He is the owner of AFAB Packaging, a source for packaging, warehousing, shipping and industrial products in Orange. He also serves as Community Services chairperson for the Rotary Club of Villa Park and is a founding board member for the Youth Centers of Orange.

Schmidt has lived in Orange for over 40 years. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his wife Heidi, sons Jake and Jordan, daughter-in-law Megan and pug Tyson.
