​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Shaping public policy affecting higher education, community colleges and their students is the goal of the college district’s government relations function. It takes a leadership position on issues relating to student access and transfer to other higher education opportunities; curriculum development; community college governance; and development of the workforce. In addition, it advocates for adequate, equitable and predictable community college funding as a condition for effective services to students.
